Windows 7, anybody? Empty Windows 7, anybody?

Post by Hawkblade96 Fri May 21, 2010 5:32 pm

Idk if there is a thread that covers this, I'm lazy, so delete this if there is. I have Windows 7 (if you read my first post ever you know I screwed it up) and the trainers don't work on it. This is common for programs not made by large corporations, though. So, is this fixable? Will you cover that sort of thing in your summer school? Because, if so, I'll just make one for myself. I only need quest complete and class hacks anyway. (P.S. If you do the Mansion quest or whatever it is called from Atrix, the first one he ever had, you can farm gold super duper fast. And no, 'duper' ain't a word so I didn't misspell it.)

Sincerely, and with thanks,
Blad Strike

My guess is that the trainers don't work there just because , well , different OS , different codes and so on.
There might be a way to fix it , I personally haven't tested it out but by activating the full administrator rights profile it might make the trainers work. But remember , that profile has been deactivated for some reasons , security.

Yeah, I told Atheros on FB while he still had one that I thought I got a virus from his trainers and, well, he explained how unlikely that was lol. I kinda had my foot in my mouth for a while during that time...

Thx. D.F.A (Death From Above) is an A.E. short based on MechQuest. I recently got back into it after getting massive leveling help from Atheros.

Of course If would mind explaining, but I don't know why it doesn't work. Maybe you're using 64 bit version. I didn't do anything to my OS, didn't download any new .net frameworks or anything. I guess your OSs are the problem in this case.

I believe you, I can also make a video how I open the trainer.

I just don't know what goes wrong there.

Yeah, I'm starting to be annoyed by how often little helpful stuff like this (I wanted to get in to making machinima for example) won't work on the 64 bit version.

Hey Atheros your latest Mechquest Trainer doesn't really work anymore. If you click on anything a script message pops that says would you like to stop running this script? And if you click yes it will just pop right back up when you click something. The same thing happens when you click no. I don't really know what is wrong. Also could you please make a Adventure Quest Worlds trainer? Because that is the hardest game to level up in out of them all. Please make one. Thanks!

Ah , I assume that you made the trainer in the 32 bit version , then the explication can be and most probable has a compatibility issue.
Also , I think I have a solution for it , for some people atleast.
1) Make sure you have Hardware-assisted virtualization , to check that you need to download the program here : http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/01/securable-detects-cpu-processor-security-features-bit-lenght-dep-and-virtualization/
If you have it then proceed with the next step.
2) Download and install Windows XP Mode: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
If you don't know how to install it or are confused on this matter check the videos here : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/support/default.aspx
3) I think you figured it out by now.

Or you can just try the solution I proposed and btw , there are compatibility issues not only with trainers u know , if you have hardware-assisted virtualization then the xp mode can pretty much solve these.

I don't have hardware-assited virtualization , unfortunatelly I can't test it.
Takes about 10 mins to do all the things listed though.

I have Home. It came loaded on my computer, if that helps. I also tried it on a Linux OS and it didn't work. The only solution neither of us can do.

Well that's normal it didn't work on Linux since it's made for Windows only. But what goes wrong there, I still don't know. (lol, like Yoda speaking, I am)

Could you paste a screenshot of what happens when you try to open the trainer.
