"Summer online programming school" on making trainers

I love the idea! Sign me up. One question though: I have a little prior knowledge in Flash (Coded a couple of small games here and there), do you think that would help me doing these training sessions?

It will help you a lot imo. I will help you to understand the language that will be used (Basic) and give you ideas which you could use in further trainer development, apart of what you'll learn here.
Also you will better understand which variables of the game are being edited, and how it influences the gameplay.


But all of the tutorials will be made for people with no previous knowledge. Every detail will be explained and there will be a sreenshot posted for every important step.


Maybe also a video, but I'm not sure for this yet.

That sounds great! I use Action Script 2.0 to do the games, is that different from Basic or are they the same/similar?

Pretty similar, I'm sure you'll get used to it in no time. It's really basic, hence the name I think

How long will this course be?

I don't know yet.
I thought it's gonna be something like a new tutorial each week, let's say friday. Starting in summer, ending in summer. That's all I know for now.

i know a tiny bit i started learning and I stopped after 1 week

Probably the whole thing won't start before summer holidays. In my case that's around July. And you should know most of the things until the end of August.

This Seems Interesting! I'd like to give it a try. I have a question though, i have no coding experience whatsoever. Would i receive help during these lessons?

We'll be using Visual Basic Express 2008, really easy.

Coding is quite easy.
If you guys would like a little catch up, you can search google for Visual Basic .NET Express 2008 tutorials.
